A mature person has the ability to lower his own opinions to empathize with people. It is also characterized by being able to control his emotions and responses in times of challenges. It also encompasses the ability to produce timely and correct responses and knowing when to act serious and not.    Maturity can never be microwaved.  People tend to equate when one should be matured, responsible, and wise on handling circumstances. We cannot insist that “Hey!  You should be matured by now nor you should be like this or do this and that.”  Sometimes we tell them that this is how they should react on some situation –this is how it should be. In our plight to mold their character and attitude we fall to sin by molding them into our likeness and preference. Let them be molded in the likeness of God. We are just catalysts of change we cannot impose change. Do not remove from them the will and discernment that GOD gave them. Always remember the grace and love God that even though we deserve to die for we are sinners Christ died for us.  Change is something not permanent. Today they may seem fine but tomorrow they may not. Just be patient and do not be hard on them. We can influence change but remember, only Christ can transform them. (2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!)  What we can do is to influence them rightfully. It is not that we’ll act blind on the things that they do, it is just that we’ll give them time and room to be better not bitter against you or anyone.  Our role is to guide them not torment them.
